STT INC was founded in November of 2001 by Dr. S.V. Subramanian
The initial activity of STT INC involved development and technology transfer of self-lubricating steel for high speed machining based on modifying existing oxide inclusions in clean steel (oxygen<5ppm) to be glassy, as a replacement for free cutting steel based toxic lead. Software was developed and interfaced for Level-2 operational control in Von Moos Stahl, which is now called Swiss Steel. Our company markets the premium quality product.
